ReOs system requirements
ReOs runs inside Autodesk Revit on Windows. Here is what you need, and every connection ReOs makes.
What you need
- Autodesk Revit
- 2024 or 2025
- Windows
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- .NET
- Nothing to install. ReOs uses the .NET that comes with Windows (Revit 2024) or with Revit (Revit 2025).
- Hardware
- ReOs runs inside Revit: use Autodesk's requirements for your Revit version.
- Installation
- Installs for your Windows user only, in your user folder.
- Download
- One installer of about 8 MB for both Revit versions.
- Account
- A free OSOS account. You sign in with your e-mail and a 6-digit code, no password.
- Internet
- Needed to sign in. ReOs then checks your licence every 4 hours and keeps working for up to 7 days offline.
- PCs
- One account on up to 2 PCs. You can move a seat to a new PC once every 30 days.
What ReOs connects to
ReOs has no general telemetry. These are the only connections it makes:
- Licence check
- Our licence server, at sign-in and every 4 hours: account e-mail, device id and key, one-way hashes of a few hardware identifiers, PC name and Windows user name, ReOs and Revit versions and, on Free, this month's published file count.
- Update check
- Our licence server, when Revit starts: the ReOs version. You can turn it off in ReOs Settings.
- Plan screen
- Only when you open the Subscription window: your country (from your IP address) and the public US dollar exchange rate, to show local prices.
- Error reports
- Off by default. If you turn them on, ReOs sends the error and the ReOs and Revit versions.
ReOs never sends your models, sheet or file names, or project data. Privacy policy
Not supported
- Revit 2023 and older.
- Revit 2026: not supported yet. We will list it here when it is.
- Revit LT: it does not run add-ins.
- macOS: Revit runs on Windows only.
